Hey @AnthropicAI and @trq212, a quick request for the skills you package: set these up to use @astral_sh's uv with script specification for dependencies. This way you don't have to worry about skills with conflicting dependencies nor having claude try to install things.

Andrej has such a well-regularized and calibrated world model, and his speech decoder is not excessively RL trained allowing for high mutual information with the WM. Very cool

My flight has free starlink wifi, and it’s fire! No lag on copilot or Claude code. Easy streaming YouTube with no lag. Really hope this becomes the norm.

I love hand-crafting release notes. I've always been against most automated changelog tooling. I think changelogs are a boundary point where humans read what other humans should write. It's a social experience as much as it can be on the internet. But the Ghostty 1.2.1 release

We're growing the uv team! uv is one of the fastest-growing developer tools ever, built and maintained by a small, talented team :) Write Rust, for Python. Full-time, open source, remote. We're very well-funded and in it for the long haul. Link in next tweet 👇 or DM me here.

Over these next few years it's going to become more and more important that you resist letting slop consume you. Keep creating. Keep learning. Keep thinking.

I co-led the development of the decklist for this alongside @Em_TeeGee! Had an absolute blast locked in a conference room jamming islands playtesting new ideas. I hope people enjoy it, long live blue mirrors 🐟 #wotcstaff

Agentic coding is a skill that scales with your technical knowledge. The best engineers I know are way better than me at using Claude Code too.

Libghostty is coming. 👻 The first library will be libghostty-vt: a zero-dependency (not even libc!) library that provides an API for parsing terminal sequences and maintaining terminal state, extracted directly from Ghostty's real-world proven core.

Going to draft this cube again today and have 1 slot that just opened up. If you can meet up in NYC at 6pm today to draft this cube, DM me.

Gonna draft a wild cube today: 1. Everybody has a booster tutor in their pool 2. When you booster tutor in a game, you add the contents of your pack to your pool for the rest of the night it’s a pauper cube so rares from boosters are more exciting. This will be interesting!

I just set my default for it to be toggled off now. It’s mostly distracting. If I know I’m going to want it, I can toggle it on.

I turned off all code autocomplete on my editor and I'm way way faster again. Most LLM based autocompletion products suck big time right now. The peak was literally 2 years ago. It's hard to understand how it's possible to degrade the UX this much.

1 week in, and, uhhhh, I now do this regularly. I’m currently not home and forgot to leave my laptop on and am frustrated I can’t try out something. My use of Instagram and Twitter has plummeted. Now when I’m bored and out my brain goes to “do you have any ideas” first.

So, I can code productively on my phone now?!? If I replace scrolling on whatever with messing around with ideas, I’ll be so happy. Will report back in a few weeks if this ends up being as nice as it seems.

Almost nobody ends up doing full end to end from scratch. But it exposes them to the full stack while they’re learning about where they want to go. And it forces them to appreciate the complexity that separates learning things from actually putting them in the real world.

cs231n is one of the most common resources I give to junior DS/MLE that come to me about how to get started. I usually say “take this course, but pair it with a personal project you build end to end all the way from data collection -> actual deployment … and use git”.

10 years ago, deep learning was in its infancy. PyTorch didn't exist. Language models were recurrent, and not large. But it felt important: a new technology that would change everything. That's why @drfeifei , @karpathy, and I started @cs231n back in 2015 - to teach the world's
