This has been roughly my experience for the last ~11 years, which is part of what makes a bunch of rhetoric around "people just walking in and getting HRT" so frustrating.
i told the doc i'd been on estrogen for 4 years and he deadass looked me in the eyes and said i'd have to do bloodwork and wait a whole month before i could get hormones

In case u were wondering i was in conversion therapy with 14 other girls. I lept up with them for probably a year and a half afterwards– in that time 7 of them killed themselves/ overdosed. The only successful conversion therapy outcome is death.
