Alexander Unzicker shows how the Hubble cosmological redshift is a consequence of general relativity interactions between light and matter. It has nothing to do with expansion. I did a video about this last year.

The Philippines needs to invest in some drones like this for when the time comes. Actually their banca boats might work in a surprise attack.

To me the most important takeaway from these numbers is that both Republicans and Democrats are moving away from The US's perceived role as the world's police force and that is a good thing. The US is really deglobalizing.

The fact that young men are becoming increasingly conservative is not a surprise. The right wing disinformation campaigns on social media that target male incels to turn them into right wing voting misogynists is working. But it doesn't help with relationships.

Singapore will undoubtedly get 10s of billions of dollars from Chinese visitors moving money out of China and 10s of thousands will try to stay under visa-free travel. China will lose more foreign reserves and more people in 2024.

As the US reaches full employment the country needs even more immigrants to fill next years 2.7 million jobs in addition to replacing retiring Boomers. The US needs 2-3 million new foreign workers a year plus their non-working family members.

Even more importantly in the short term is that the working age populations are falling in most upper and middle income countries. This limits consumption and related GDP growth as that consumption is not replaced by young people in growing poorer countries.

As global birthrates continue to plunge, most people still aren't aware of the severity of the crisis. A major problem is that the data sources most rely on to follow fertility trends haven't kept up with the dramatic decline of recent years. Important 🧵, please share!

Laoman calculated China's GDP from 2008-2023. The GDP dropped in 2023 by -4.9% instead of the 5.2% claimed. The current GDP is only slightly more than the end of 2018. @mrbcyber @serpentza see his YouTube video in Chinese.

China officially lost 2.08 million in population but we now they undercounted COVID deaths and they likely over-reported births. And it is not clear to me if they take net emmigration into account. What do you think the real number is? 3 to 4 million?

Even more interesting economically is that when China's population falls below 400 million before 2100 it's workforce will be around 150 million, and already much smaller than the US. The US workforce could pass China's in the 2080s.

Newsweek quotes me: https://t.co/ONRlbxusIG Fuxian Yi wrote that even if China stabilizes its birth rate at 1.0, its population will drop to under 400 million in 2100. Yi said the demographic sea change is also starting to affect China's approach to statecraft.

Now there are 350,000 dead Russians per Ukraine. With a 1:1.5 dead to wounded ratio that would be 525,000 wounded. Then add a guesstimate of 125,000 POWs and deserters and that means 1 million Russians have now been combat utilized.

It is interesting that after the one child policy started the official Chinese data shows a baby boom in what are now 28-44 year olds. Is this baby boom real or fictitious? The 1990, 2000, and 2010 census showed births were over reported by 4 million a year or more.
