This is a must-listen for anyone who lives in a tourist heavy area - its about global tourism but its exactly the same story everywhere - incl here in the Lakes, Cornwall, Highlands. “Where do the people who work in the hotel live?” Great prog @rajandatar https://t.co/CEsm69cZA4

Great program by @rajandatar, which he had covered how difficult it actually is to travel Europe by train. Most train companies don't even sell tickets for more than 3 months in advance, nor do they publish timetables... https://t.co/zu2aNNXs5T

Interesting listen on perception of tourism impacts: clear that ⁦@WelshGovernment⁩ current strategy needs a complete rethink as current policies are not going to deliver for communities. ⁦@business_owen⁩ ⁦@AberconwyMS⁩ ⁦@ukhcymru

A self-audit of an organization is important and ⁦@OverToYouBBC⁩ hosted by ⁦@rajandatar⁩ and produced by Howard Shannon does precisely that, with Ed Main How Trending Extreme uncovered AI-generated videos of real-life child murder victims. 🎧

Well done @adilray and team for making this powerful and devastating film. ‘Now, in 2023, enough is enough: between the report and this programme, the #cricket world has to start being honest with itself. Yes, it is racist. No further caveat is required.’ https://t.co/J5J74FEtmq

We are now well into the second month of changes affecting Focus on Africa, its switch to being primarily a podcast with a repeat radio airing later that same day. So how is it going down with listeners? Host ⁦@rajandatar⁩ with ⁦@Amuthengi⁩ 🎧

The origins of travel for pleasure go back centuries and package holidays in the 1960s made it accessible to many in the West but it’s only the combination of cheap flights and the advent of the internet that has led to truly global tourism on a mass scale.
