How many people does it take to cut a hedge? According to #Lewisham Council 9. One to cut, one to clear up trimmings, one to walk around the neighbourhood with a smelly, noisy leaf blower and 6 to lean on a fence watching. Luckily there are two lorries to ferry them all around.

So, again not a chance for a mature black woman to talk about her experiences with discrimination at the work place, not a chance of a thirty something to deal artistically with her ling path to being diagnosed with Endometriosis... Another Let's deny mature women chances to talk

It also discriminatates predominantly against women who are more likely to have care responsibilities and might not be able to flex their artistic side till they are free of those. Shame, as these stories are the stories that apparently called for in the spec.

What a shame that @RoundhouseLDN had to go down the agist path and close their Film Fund to anyone over 25. Apart from the fact that few people from a disadvantage background wld even think of making a film at such a young age, some artists 'emerge' much, much later in life.

Sadly thanks to Brexit I am only allowed to travel anywhere in Europe for 3 months. It is disgusting.
@EricIdle I live in France, and it hurts that you are not touring anywhere in Europe ! I travelled 3 times to see you in London (not the Messiah, the O2 and your show with Brian Cox at the Barbican Center) but unfortunately I will miss that one I’m afraid…

Add to this that some ferry routes won't take pedestrian, for example Ireland to Spain.

When the polls do, as seems certain, show the Conservatives in third, it'll be worth remembering that the last time the government were running third in the polls during an election campaign was as recently as 2010.

and breakfast on the ferry and that is in the presale. The flight London to Helsinki is currently £77, the same journey by train and ferry is about £900-1000, if you share your couchette with 5 other people and happily miss a shower for a day. Never mind that it takes 3 days.

Assuming the timetables are the same as they are now, I would arrive two hours later than if I had flown even though I had to leave a day earlier. It gets even more difficult if you want to go to Helsinki. You have to add an extra night, (16-17hrs) and £250 for a cabin, dinner

One has to also book various train companies Eurostar, Die Bahn, SJ. The Night train from Hamburg to Stockholm alone costs more than double than a direct flight from London to Oslo add to that Eurostar, two ICEs and snabbtåg (since the IC doesn't connect to the Night train!).

...If you have to be somewhere at a certain time for example to catch a ferry you are stuck. I can book a flight ticket from London to Oslo for September for as little as £50, but trying the same trip by rail is impossible to book.

Great program by @rajandatar, which he had covered how difficult it actually is to travel Europe by train. Most train companies don't even sell tickets for more than 3 months in advance, nor do they publish timetables... https://t.co/zu2aNNXs5T

I’ve received a massive amount of help from the WGGB, negotiating a somewhat gnarly option agreement over the course of nearly six months. I don’t have an agent and without the guild’s help I’d have been screwed. So I 100% recommend going to this, and becoming a member.
WGGB members – we’re running a free, online workshop on contracts advice, to help protect your work and your rights 6 June, 2-4pm, Zoom Places are limited so get your registration form in now! Deadline: 5pm, 29 May https://t.co/kNatFaJEYP
