I love how Marc Webb would just let the actors mumble words and improv to make the scene so natural, I wish he made more romantic comedies or coming of age movies with the vibe he was going for in TASM 2

the main focus of the movie is a super smart guy stalking a woman, not the tech, like fair enough if the filmmaker's choice is to make it also about tech, but at least the way they did it didn't work for me at all

One is a B movie and the other is trying to be a real thriller, can't compare the way they're both written. I think the original was well written for what it is, a silly movie. I think the new one is well written until it isn't, for a serious modern thriller.
