Gen Ai is now interfering in democracy. The Era of Illusion is here unless we figure out a way to verify things and tune out everything not verified by a trusted source (like a news outlet)

Governments are deluding themselves into believing investment justifies allowing AI to upend society

What an incredible talk by @rachelnabors: https://t.co/2HK8cwJQWK I am just out of words, this is as complete as it gets when it comes to an assessment of our current times for the web! Very well done!

This is exactly what MCP-UI was built for - an open spec for products to keep their identity, while still exposing themselves to chat agents. Don't be reduced to a data layer, you can keep your amazing user experience inside any chat. @bchesky feel free to ping us. (cc @idosal1)

Been reading the Web MCP spec as well as some other things coming out of Big Browsers. AI nerds, do you ever refer to things like Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini as "AI platforms?" Because I've been calling them Agents. Coding agent, personal agent: LLM + tools + loop + UI

One of the best parts of working with the @LangChainAI team this past year has been meeting @sydneyrunkle!! Sydney is a lead maintainer for LangChain, and @madebygps and I got to chat to her on the show! We talk cold emails, middleware, Open Source and more🐍❤️✨ Link below!!!
So proud to share LangChain and LangGraph 1.0 with you all! 🥳 We've packed in so many improvements - a new agent builder, flexible agent middleware, provider agnostic content blocks, and beautiful new docs. ✨ Loved diving into the technical details in the blog post and

Thought I'd hear more of this in my feed. Might be the canary in the coal mine for America's debt-strapped middle class:

The bankruptcies of U.S. auto parts supplier First Brands and car dealership Tricolor have prompted soul searching on Wall Street, with JPMorgan Chase saying it re-examined its controls after finding...

Got my free lunch! More importantly, saw an old friend. @alispivak has done so much to lift me up in my career. Her sponsorship, advice, and help has meant the world to me. Thank you 🫶

I wasn't there for the Dot Com bust, but accounts of the investment frenzy are similar to what I see today in AI. I wonder, what did that bust feel like to startups who had investment? Did they pivot or...?
Knowing the amount of investment that's been made into AI startups in the Bay, I wonder... What happens when the bubble pops? Will those companies pivot or will the investments pop, too? Is it actual money or an IOU backed by some NVIDIA chips? Can it be crawled back?

I build things at the intersection of the Web and AI
Want to build a free, opensource, on-device AI agent you can use to help with daily tasks without information ever leaving your system? Thinking of streaming how later today. Realized a lot of folks in tech don't use ChatGPT, Claude because 1) $$$ 2) privacy

Lately I've been rejecting "productivity culture" for "I do what I want" culture. I don't need a new journaling system or a calendar app. I don't want to sell my paintings. I don't want a content schedule. The world gets what I have to give. You're welcome 🫶

I've used this pattern to similarly research houses to buy. It's just missing a tighter integration with Claude itself (a way to register the tool, for instance)
