December marks the 6th anniversary of the passage and enactment of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act – and taxpayers everywhere are better off because of it.
It’s time to double down and pass new tax cuts when Congress comes back in January 2024. 👇

The White House-supported Warner amendment still doesn’t protect software developers. It makes it possible for regulators to choose winners & losers instead of letting the marketplace make that decision. The Wyden-Lummis-Toomey amendment is tech-neutral and promotes innovation.
Unfortunately,

TPA Applauds GOP Senators Resisting FTC Overreach in the Energy Sector
WASHINGTON, D.C. – This week, a group of Republican senators wrote a letter to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) urging the agency to reject calls to target mergers and acquisitions in the energy industry.

We fixed it for you:
With funding from the Inflation Reduction Act, the IRS is going after American taxpayers, facing a new conflict of interest with its Direct File program – where it wants to both prepare Americans' tax docs AND manage contested returns.
With funding from the Inflation Reduction Act, the IRS is going after wealthy tax cheats, improving customer service for taxpayers, and helping taxpayers get the refunds they deserve.
Republicans want to slash IRS funding.
I will fight tooth and nail to stop them.
Tonight,
@SenRandPaul

This legislation is TPA’s Bill of the Month:
Thank you,

for your strong support of free market principles on the Senate floor today.
We appreciate your leadership and opposition to misguided antitrust legislation.

TPA did the math in our letter to Congress: H.R. 2471 was 2,700 pages long with less than 12 hours notice given; you’d have to read roughly four pages of text per minute non-stop for twelve hours to cover every provision.
In light of the recent $1.5 trillion spending package, I’m renewing my call for the Senate to pass my Read the Bills resolution which would provide sufficient time for legislation to be thoroughly reviewed.
I don’t smoke—and even if I did, I doubt I’d be a menthol guy—but this is absurd.
In any event, changes to federal law should be made by Congress—not unelected bureaucrats.
Congress must pass the REINS Act to return the lawmaking power to the people.

“Unlike players in the marketplace, who must take note of consumer trends to survive, antitrust enforcers often fail to see what is in front of their faces.” -

The antitrust legislation we in the Senate considered, seeks to take the power out of the hands of consumers and hand it to antitrust bureaucrats. That’s why I went to the floor and made my objection to this bill clearly known.

on the Center for Tobacco Product's strategic plan.
The FDA's CTP claims to want to advance public health and reduce the smoking, but 85% of its budget comes from combustible cigarette user fees.
The taxpayer-funded World Health Organization (
#WHO
) continues to keep harm reduction experts and consumers out of FCTC meetings so we're headed to Panama in November to call out and fact check them during COP10.
The FCTC has traded focus on reducing harms of combustible tobacco for an obsession w/ youth who do not even smoke. The needs of the 1.3B adults who do smoke, & who die in their millions each year, are the casualty.
