In an ideal world, agnostic thiesm is the way. Being a strong believer of that particular energy/source/ "creator" while also acknowledging that the basis of knowing how all this works is humanly impossible thereby rejecting any kind of man-made religious theories/beliefs/cults.
Hook it in my veins. Unreal greediness & jealously for captaincy over half-decade. Made team environment insecure. Thinks himself to be some elite capt just coz he won some ipl trophies with a superteam. Don't feel bad for him here, the way vk was treated as captain all the years
He is Sourav ganguly who made Steve Waugh wait for toss when Australia was at peak of their cricket. You can't show attitude to Dada, he himself has a lot of it.
Virat Kohli is the most clutch batsman of all time who turns up 8 out of 10 times in must win games and gets slandered for the 2 times he doesn't turn up.
This "Kohli has been out of form for 3 years" narrative by casuals boils my blood. There wasn't much cricket in 2020, he was top run getter in loi series in aus, won mots vs eng t20is, dropped masterclasses like 79*, 74, 72, 77*, 85,80 and had 25 fifty plus scores in that phase.
Appreciation tweet for Anil kumble for never passing any salty or degrading remarks on Virat Kohli as an ex-cricketer inspite of that feud with him in 2017.
Jasprit Bumrah at 30 is yet to win a single ICC trophy or a ICC POTT or drop a match winning performance in icc knockouts. Mitchell Starc at 25 already completed all that & still keeps doing it 8 years later. Most forced disrespectful comparison ever.
2021 summarised for Kohli FC:
- No tons
- Test avg in 20s
- WTC final loss
- Average IPL with the bat
- IPL eliminator loss
- RCB captaincy gone
- Abd retirement
- Horrible Eng tour
- diwali controversy
- Loss vs Pak
- T20 wc grp exit
- T20i captaincy gone
- ODI captaincy gone
James Faulkner has barely played int'l cricket for 4 years but still has such a massive legacy man. 30 run over vs Ishant, 57 ball ton vs Ind, World Cup final motm, Gabba finish vs Eng, verbal spat with vk, getting hit for last ball 6 by Aditya tare.
Incredible moments player.
When Sachin Tendulkar scored his 71st century, the next active batsman was at 44 centuries (Lara).
When Virat Kohli scored his 71st century, the next active batsman was at 44 centuries (Root).
Real Generational talents.
Am I the only one who thinks CSK is one of the least exciting team this year? Except Dube's 2-3 sixes vs part timer, Dhoni's 2-3 ball cameo & Pathirana's chucking there's absolutely NOTHING exciting about that club. No neutral gets excited to watch "Ruturaj" "Rahane" "Jaddu" bat.
non-csk matches hardly creating any entertainment value beyond cricketing interest (except few). they all look like fillers. can't imagine ipl's hype after ms dhoni. there will be a massive dip in viewership after he leaves. ms dhoni is the nucleus of brand ipl.
Rohit sharma is playing cricket for 15+ years and has hardly 4-5 iconic knocks that'll go down in history. 140 vs pak, 30* vs pak, 209 vs aus, 264 vs SL and that's it tbh.
2019 wc semi loss got talked about relentlessly for more than 3 years & this time baseless IPL rumours got talked about more on TL than HOME WC FINAL LOSS within barely 48 hours 😭😭😭 fairplay man
I don't think people realise how good Virat Kohli is in T20is. Like the difference between him and the 2nd greatest player of this format is milesssss apart.
Punjab under Anil Kumble has now lost 12 matches out of 20 in ipl.
Virat Kohli has saved future of Indian cricket by preferring Ravi Shastri over him and India is now undefeated in 8 consecutive t20i series 🙏
100% ICC cricketer of the year. Plus how can one have all-timer World Cup campaign, 600+ runs IPL season with 2 tons while being BGT top scorer averaging 55+ in tests in 2023 at the age of 35?
Adil Rashid, Hasaranga, Zampa, Rashid Khan all wrist spinners performing brilliantly through out the tournament but we will drop Chahal and play Axar-Ashwin 😄😄
If Virat Kohli scores 5 fifties & 500 runs in the tour, he will be called "finished" & if he scores one century & 350 odd runs people will say "king is back" 😷.
I don't think it'll be controversial anymore to say that post 2019 World Cup to end of 2023 (right now) you can't name me a better performing batsman in all formats than Virat Kohli.
if Rabada played in the 90s or 2000s his reputation would've been insane man. Same nostalgic bunch that degrades the modern day bowlers would've formed narratives like "But ur favourite batsman never faced any bowler close to Rabada's quality".
This MI captaincy saga exposed so many glory hunting plastic fans pretending to support MI all these years man. CSK, RCB & KKR remains the top 3 biggest IPL clubs in terms of having genuine massive fanbase.
Trophies celebrated by Pakistan in recent years:
- Babar Rizwan t20i ranking 1
- Babar century in flattest of decks that costed the team wtc
- Kohli century-less for 1k days
- "They can't play him"
Ideally there's no "perfect" batsman to exist who can dominate all formats, play at different positions, can play anchor, finish games, chase any total, perform in big games,in tough conditions & win individual awards etc. But the closest ever of becoming one is Virat Kohli.
Kohli might be similar to ronaldo in terms of mentality but his career parallels are more similar to Messi, in terms of carrying the national team in WCs, winning Potts, getting let down by club, unmatched consistency, most individual awards, being the goat & still most humble.
