@billclerico I worry a little bit that he has opened the floodgates by showing that one can get away with this kind of behavior. But my guess is that (1) he's an anomaly and (2) people will tire of this, both of which should cause the ship to right itself.

@jasonrmcintyre I'm optimistic there. People in other countries seem able to separate their opinion of the US from their opinion of Trump. If he had successors who were similar they'd start to worry. But they'd be right to.
