Hi @bphillipsonMP, enjoying your summer holiday with your kids? Spared a thought for the 8,255 children and their families spending theirs desperately searching for new schools—because your policy pushed theirs over the edge? Among the displaced are 1,025 children with SEND,

VAT on Education - 'Senior Judges in the Divisional Court ruled today that the Government's VAT measure discriminated against children with special needs without an EHCP.' The Govt however 'won'- if you like celebrating discrimination - that legally they can add VAT. Morally -

It is simply incredulous that an offer like this was ignored. So disrespectful. It can only lead me to believe @bphillipsonMP is tone deaf, arrogant, deluded or all of the above. What we know for certainty is she is no educator and no match for @james_wilding . @EducationNotTax

@PaulfrYorkshire @chloembroidery @anaboultertv @RachelReevesMP @educationgovuk @YouTube @MailOnline @GBNEWS @GMB @Telegraph @GuidoFawkes So just to be clear, as the longest serving headteacher in the UK, I wrote to @bphillipsonMP in September 2023, https://t.co/LOKyMvxxtg as well as on the day of her appointment in July 2024. The hand of partnership and support was offered, remains extended but ignored completely.

I hear that the March 3rd parliamentary debate on VAT on eduction will NOT be attended by @bphillipsonMP the Education Secretary. Her flagship manifesto and she’s not turning up to the debate. What a coward. Perhaps her shoulders need to be a little broader…@toryboypierce

Last night a government source said: ‘The Secretary of State doesn’t need lectures from anyone on importance of a good education for disadvantaged children, she’s lived it. https://t.co/tI1xJbPrJo And that there is the issue. @bphillipsonMP has a lot to unpack, and her past is

Plenty anger on the Tory benches, little by way of ideas. Still clutching to their dire record Still defending stuck schools Still protecting uniform racketeers Still set to cut £1.8 bn from state schools Labour is cutting costs for parents and driving higher school standards.

When asked @CommonsEd about support for children forced to leave their school due to #SchoolFeeVAT, especially those in exam years, the Education Secretary washes her hands of it, expecting the independent schools to provide support, dismissing it as affecting only a small

‘We expect the schools (private) to sort the problems we have made and the numbers are small anyway so who cares’ is what she is saying here: the Education Secretary - a role to protect the education of children. If you’re in state. If you’re not, be damned with you.

I have written to the Permanent Secretary at DfE regarding inaccurate claims about the effects of Labour’s Schools Bill. Be in no doubt, this Bill WILL remove flexibilities from academies, despite claims to the contrary. We must all fight this appalling attack on schools.

WTAF?!?!? @Keir_Starmer says we must use private if we can to relieve NHS whilst @bphillipsonMP burdens the state sector whilst single handedly trashing the private sector: have these people actually met?! It’s like they are on different sides..someone have a word please
