The Department of Justice must find a mechanism to fund the CCTV system in Limerick. It’s 6-7 hundred thousand euro, not millions. It needs a sustainable funding model. Our safety depends on it and the Council cannot bridge the gap from its own resources.

This has been described as a slow moving earthquake & that is exactly what it is. People are terrified that their roof will collapse on top of them or that their floor will collapse beneath them. The psychological & financial trauma caused by this crisis is unimaginable.

Next look at the impact of profits on prices. European Central Bank research - firm profits accounted for two-thirds of the increase in inflation in eurozone. Irish Central Bank research - profits contributed significantly to domestic price rises. Wages contribution was flat.
