Cloth Brush
This new sculpt brush has a custom cloth solver than can run inside sculpt mode in real time on localized areas of the mesh.
It has properties to control the cloth material and it can grab, drag or pinch the surface.

CozyBlanket is now available.
You can download and try it for free. Exporting, saving and extra retopology features can be unlocked perpetually with a single in-app purchase.
When using the Cloth Brush masked vertices are pinned in the simulation. You can use the sculpt mask to control the wrinkles and the tension of the cloth.

CozyBlanket 2.0 is now available.
Retopology, manual UV unwrapping, packing and baking. Prepare your models for animation, video games, real-time rendering and surfacing using a single App.

More info soon.
I'm going to start working on a full redesign of how Sculpt Mode works which hopefully should fix most of the performance issues and make Blender usable for high poly sculpting.

I added opacity, flow and wet paint properties to the sculpt vertex colors patch. Once finished, the main vertex paint brush should be something like this:

This patch fixes brush spacing when sculpting on animated objects, so now Sculpt Mode has proper support for pottery.
You need use brushes with scene spacing distance in order to make it work.

My last project was a rework of a model I made back in 2018 while I was taking a character modeling course. That was before starting to develop Blender sculpt mode.
Here you can see the two versions.

Here is a workflow tutorial on how to create low poly, hand-painted models using Nomad Sculpt (1.68), CozyBlanket (2.0.3) and Procreate (5.2.9) without leaving the iPad:
You can use the Cloth Brush directly on meshes with millions of vertices by tweaking the simulation's limits and falloff.
The solver ignores everything outside the limits and the cloth will automatically change its elasticity in the falloff area to avoid artifacts.

I added a new deformation mode to the Cloth Brush that changes dynamically the original dimensions of the cloth during the simulation.
This way you can create the effect of stitching a large piece of cloth to a smaller one by using the sculpt mask.

When using the Draw Face Sets brush, you can press Shift to smooth the jagged edges of a Face Set. The topology slides to fit the Face Set without affecting the shape of the mesh.
This can be used to paint and extract panels for hard surface sculpting.

Hi! I'm Pablo, a 3D artist and software developer from Spain.
I'm currently focused on the development of Blender Sculpt Mode, but I hope I can find some time to make new artworks soon.

I fixed the Grab deform mode in the Cloth Brush. Now it works like a regular grab brush with the cloth simulation deforming the affected area, so it should be much more controllable.

The Layer Brush was completely rewritten. All previous artifacts and glitches should now be fixed.
It also has a new cursor, Mulrites support and a more predictable mesh deformation to create layered details.

Introducing Uniform,
A new art-focused 2D/3D software designed for handling the entire asset creation process, featuring a modular scene and tool system unlike anything you've ever seen.

Physically-Based Brushes
This new brush engine simulates individual fibers to replicate the behavior of a real brush.
You can control the material and shape of the fibers and how the brush moves and collides with the surface

Sculpt: Cloth Filter
This tool is similar to the Cloth Brush but it simulates the entire mesh.
The simulation can be controlled using the sculpt mask to pin vertices and the Face Sets to control where the forces are applied.

Today I started the development of Blender 2.82 in master.
Topology Slide/Relax, Multiplane Scrape, a new Clay Brush, Mask Slice and Dashed Strokes are now available.

The Cloth Brush now has a Snake Hook deformation mode which produces more natural looking folds. It is more controllable than the other deform modes and it does not produce any artifact in the simulation.

The Grab Brush has an option called Grab Active Vertex.
When using modifiers like SubSurf or Solidify, this option renders the wireframe of the original mesh under the cursor. This way, you can see the original vertices affected by the brush on top of the final model.

The Cloth Brush and Filter now have initial support for collisions with other objects. Thanks to
@ZaedDB
for helping me with the implementation!

The Cloth Grab Brush is now integrated with the solver and it supports gravity in the entire simulation. This is how it works with experimental cloth collisions support.

The Pose and Boundary brushes now support deforming the mesh using cloth simulations. This allows creating bend and compression folds without using collisions.

Most of the Sculpt Mode tools introduced in Blender 2.82 are designed to create stylized hair. Here you have a step by step tutorial on how you can use them.
What used to take hours now takes minutes.

I added a new set of properties to the paint brush to match most digital painting applications.
Brushes now have opacity, flow, density, hardness, wet paint, tip shape controls and tip rotation.

This is how I created the dress base meshes using CozyBlanket and Blender.
CozyBlanket is like a dedicated workspace that runs on a different device. Blender transfers control to CozyBlanket with a single click, and then it can be used like any other operator.
New brush to flatten and polish surfaces which includes a new algorithm to sample the mesh and a configurable brush tip stabilizer. It should work much better than Scrape or Flatten in most cases.
