My kind, gentle, lovely mum died unexpectedly this morning. I am broken. Utterly. The exceptional staff at the MUH Cork tried so hard to save her & when it was obvious it wasn't possible, I have never experienced such compassion, care & kindness. They are very special people. ❤️

My heart is broken. Sean's friend took his own life last night..he was 20! Sean is bereft. I don't know what to do except sit with him, drive, cook food & not cry. His last txt was I am sorry it has come to this...I am sorry too darling boy.💔

My parents were a couple for 58 years. They had the best life together and made me into a hopeless romantic, as I have seen what real love is. ❤️
As we prepare to say goodbye to my precious mum, her legacy is one of love, laughter and happy time x

I admire the Gardai in Cork for never giving up on Tina Satchwell. Women can be forgotten about & dismissed when they go missing. I hope this investigation helps towards giving Tina her voice back. Her story deserved to be told. ❤️

I did not forsee the reaction to me sharing my utter despair at the loss of Sean's friend through suicide.
It has been a huge comfort to know that kindness still exists

I plan to run in the Cork City Marathon in my mums trainers. It's my way to honour her memory and mark the 29 marsthons she ran over her lifetime.
Went to put them on today and found a pair of her little socks in them.
The pain in my heart floored me 💔
I miss her.

All I can do is strive to be happy & if I am half the woman she was I'll be content 😊
Oh & because she did 29 marathons..I'll have to do the 30th! My poor knees 😆

Today I want to honour my mum who is unwell..so much more to her.. a marathon runner (29 all over the world), a world traveller, a bungee jumper, a biker, a voracious reader, an opera lover, a wine buff, a grandmother..an incredible woman ❤️

Thank you to all the emergency services who have spent the day trying to look after the people of East Cork.
It's devastating for families who have been caught up in this.

Mum's ashes have been laid to rest in beautiful Crosshaven. I am glad to have somewhere to sit & be with her. She loved her home & was a familiar sight out running the walkway...I have a little bit of her at home...I hope it's not her killer side eye 😆
