A weird property of the frontier: finding the edge forces a realization that there’s very few people there, the others who’ve found it are tightly clustered and therefore quite happy to see you, and you all can’t help but ask “where is everybody?” in escalating confusion

I’m hiring for two major roles on my team at Ulysses. There has not been a better time to join Ulysses. In the last few months, revenue & pipeline have gone vertical, and we've made significant technological breakthroughs that will forever change how subsea work is done.

What I love about this headline is—the Google people are the experts! The headliner “expert” is making a guess about data Google actually has! “Ignore experts” is the wrong framing. I love talking to experts! But mass media don’t have a monopoly on declaring people experts.
Google publishes a paper showing that its AI models only use 0.26 mL of water in data centers per prompt. After, this article gets published: "Google says a typical AI prompt only uses 5 drops of water - experts say that's misleading." The reason the expert says this is

The real question isn't whether cloud seeding works (it does). It's whether we'll let fear-driven panic hand yet another technological advantage to China while fear and misinformation write the rules. @RainmakerCorp is working to keep that advantage here.

America is running dry, forcing farmers out of business. We need clever tech & policy to make water abundant again. I was skeptical of cloud seeding until the overwhelming evidence of its safety and ability to make more water convinced me to dedicate my life to it. Opinion 👇

The Trump EPA is committed to total transparency. I tasked my team @EPA to compile everything we know about contrails and geoengineering to release to you now publicly. I want you to know EVERYTHING I know about these topics, and without ANY exception! https://t.co/izKBz0lFvr

In February 2025, a group of eight beavers built a dam exactly in the place where the Czech government planned to build its own. The government project had been in the planning phase since 2018 and was supposed to cost over 1.2 million dollars https://t.co/3xtFH0n6f9

Big congrats to @AriX and @conradev, my earliest friends in SF and still some of the best engineers I've ever met. Happy to be a personal investor and see them put their talents to work on such a big opportunity!
Unbelievably excited to share a preview of what we’ve been working on at @SoftwareAppsInc. It’s called Sky, and it’s a new product that deeply integrates AI into your Mac.

Mind-numbingly solvable problem The Colorado River Basin's groundwater is being depleted ~1.2M acre-feet/year (391B gal) It precipitates 200M AF/year over the basin, but that's only ~25% of the liquid that traverses it's atmosphere We need .5% more precip, and storage. Solved
New research shows the depletion of groundwater in the Colorado River Basin far exceeds losses from the river’s reservoirs. Scientists say overpumping is leading to alarmingly rapid declines — a volume of water comparable to an entire Lake Mead since 2003

"A series of studies published in Science in February 2025 provides the best evidence yet that birds and mammals did not inherit the neural pathways that generate intelligence from a common ancestor, but rather evolved them independently."
wired.com
Complex neural circuits likely arose independently in birds and mammals, suggesting that vertebrates evolved intelligence multiple times.
