Interwar housing estates like Old Moat might seem very uniform at first but they're not - the brick semis were an infill (possibly WW2 bomb) in 1944 and the houses don't follow a line as some are set back. There are also maisonettes and side doors. #oldmoat #councilestate

Anyone who grew up in Old Moat until the 1980s will know where these milk bottles came from - Heald's was a Didsbury based dairy and local employer. If you find one of these large-necked bottles, hang onto it-they are collectors items now.
