Police should not be allowed to handcuff someone unless they're credibly suspected to have commited a serious crime. Handcuffing is a traumatic experience. No one should be in cuffs for a 'speculative' stop and search.

Britain desperately needs to learn one eternal lesson:
The police press release is not an unbiased statement of fact. It should be seen as a statement released by the police in order to portray the police in the best light possible given the situation.

This is far from healthy or dignifying, it's visibly embarrassing for everyone involved - inc Charles. Posting it just was only ever going to result in mass public ridicule of a powerless lady. Optics are awful, colonial even.
