This is what AI adaptive learning software is going to do.
@MrDanielBuck Every kid should just have an IEP!!! There’s zero point in having a public education system that doesn’t account for our learning differences or accommodate how an individual learns best. Will cost far less and produce a more rational, innovative society in the long run.

This is probably subject dependent. Still makes no sense to track a civics class... Or anything related to social studies. It's just not reality. Unalike Learners need to have conversations too.
Normalize tracking students again It benefits neither advanced nor struggling students to shove them all into one room where one kid is reading at a 7th grade level and another is stumbling over phonics still

The purpose of social studies education in the age of AI is to make sure humans and humanness remain at the heart of the curriculum. It's that simple.

The purpose of any education should be to help people make meaning. This is why school has always struggled as a learning space . And the thought that school would have a monopoly on that concept is weird to me.

Trying not to laugh at the concept of schools "holding the line on critical thinking."

"Most assignments in college are not relevant. They're hackable by AI, and I just had no interest in doing them." Nah, I'd say higher ed and most existing institutions and processes are what's cooked.

In response to the linked article. 1: The rampant use of ChatGPT is due in part to a society-wide failure to value education for its own sake. By treating a pure means to an end - wealth - as a final end, we have ethically crippled a generation. https://t.co/K3HwwhIsZv

Adults help children make sense of the world. Perhaps the better examination is how adults and community leaders reacted to the pandemic and the impact on children. Did the adults behave in a way that supported stabilty, community or mental health?

If your school is simply looking to incorporate AI into the classroom, they're doing it wrong. School needs to figure out what it does well, that which AI can't replicate, and concentrate on those experiences.

The reason why most school PD is terrible is because it doesn't address the root issues with schools and only offers the latest Band-aids.

Your 9-to-5 job is dying. By 2034, it'll be extinct. That's Reid Hoffman's latest prediction – the founder of LinkedIn who predicted the rise of social media in 1997. Here's what he said next:
