Tolerance for uncertainty is easy. Taking action despite uncertainty is hard. Wondering why, imagining how, dreaming of what could be… fun! Making decisions without all of the information, plotting a course with no guidance, committing with no guarantee… that takes character.

Gotta hand it to them for fully embracing the negative perception. “At https://t.co/AQxs3hkrhy, we don’t just lower the bar, we vaporize it entirely.” AI generated slop podcasts.

@Superhuman Ok, it turns out SHIFT+N will show new messages. But N is already the familiar shortcut to see the next message in a thread. Why the extra key?

As much as I love @superhuman for email, this UI element is the most aggravating and pointless button I've seen in a long time. Why do I have to click to see new messages? Why don't you just show it to me? Why is there no obvious keyboard shortcut to activate the button?

I saved this post 3 months before #WWDC and now I wonder if there’s something design team came across it too. #liquidglass

There’s an excellent discussion of this phenomenon in How Minds Change by David McRaney.
10 years ago, this dress was posted on social media causing a viral debate on whether it was blue and black or white and gold. The phenomenon revealed differences in human color perception and became the subject of scientific investigations into neuroscience and vision science.

In today’s episode of “WTF, really?!”, Iranian researchers examined the effects of ghee from sheep on osteopathic knee pain. It performed better than Vaseline or a 1-min massage without emollient. https://t.co/DSTWPSpH77

Helpful list of PubMed alternatives

I simply was curious but didn’t have the time to conduct a literature search at the time. A low effort reply would have been perfectly adequate in response to my low effort inquiry.

Besides, it’s not your responsibility to do the research for me. I appreciate you taking the time to reply at all, let alone provide some sources for me to consider.

Look, I know finding research can be hard. But if you're sharing papers with another healthcare professional, maybe don't rely on AI to find the references for you. It's perfectly fine to say, "I don't have those available at the moment, but I'll find them when I have the time"

This is a huge step for right to repair. I’ve had a couple beard trimmer guards break, and the most annoying thing is that you have to buy a full set—but I only ever use one size! I’d much rather print the single piece I need. https://t.co/I8TlmMwDaT

So excited to see Paul @painsci is reviving his personal blog: https://t.co/Xx0BUuWo3f I'm a huge fan of his science writing, but have missed the more personal stories—and occasional Apple punditry!

After being mothballed for most of the last five years, I am actually going to bring this blog back to life.

I am once again wanting to make writing a habit. Biggest barrier? Time. Those of you who write regularly, what are you NOT doing so that you have time to write? https://t.co/wX4peGQoLi

Writing is the best thing you can do for your personal growth. See how to incorporate it at every step of personal experimentation.
