Many Ottawa residents are struggling to make ends meet. In the face of rising costs for food and housing, we can't add to the financial burden of residents with big increases in taxes and fees. Other Canadian cities have seen property tax increases of 22% to 27% over the past

We avoided the recession that was being forecast with near 100% certainty last winter and spring. Gimme a break. 1.7% is incredible in that context of the carnage we avoided. Not only did we avoid a recession we had an improvement in GDP in both nominal and real $s. #cdnpoli

Real GDP in Canada increased 1.7% in 2025, the slowest pace of annual growth since the decline in 2020. Lower exports, particularly to the United States, were the main contributor to the slower rise in GDP in 2025.

So, let me get this right. Carney, who is PM, travelling around the world to meet with other leaders and establish partnerships is bad. Poilievre, who is not PM, but leader of the opposition, travelling around the world is good. In fact, it’s better. 🤦🏻😂

JUST IN: Pierre Poilievre will be heading to the UK and Germany on his first international trip as Leader of the Opposition. I'd much rather have this than Mark Carney jetting around the world at the taxpayer's expense and getting nothing done. Go Pierre! 🇨🇦
