The school suspended him and the kid. But then they wanted my son to also sit in on a mediation with the bully. I told the principal to shove that idea. I offered to sit in a mediation with the kid. We did have a talk with his parents though. My son never got bullied again.😂🧵

This story about the boy who killed himself after being bullied just breaks my heart. When I grew up you had to talk shit right to someone’s face. And that usually didn’t go well. But now it can come at a kid from so many directions. I worry about how to deal with that.

Got Covid Nov 2020. Took six months to get taste back. Over a year later and many things still don’t smell right. And I smell things that don’t exist, like cooked eggs and gasoline. That may seem mild to some people, but it’s disconcerting to me.

When I vaccinate people I try to avoid using terms like side effects and instead call them immune response symptoms. I describe all the reasons they are happening so that maybe people will ascribe a positive mindset to them. It seems trivial, but it really helps.

At my pharmacy, we have a waiting list that we use for when people don’t make their appointment or if we are able to pull extra doses. But if I have extra and time is ticking you can bet I’m putting them in any arm I can find. Haven’t wasted a dose yet, going on 980.

My kids grew up around all of our friend group. Drag queens, leather daddies, dykes on bikes, transgender people, cargo shorts lesbians (okay that was moms).
In spite of our best efforts, they are all straight. And we love and accept them.
