We identified cobalt complexes without antibacterial activity that modulated plasmid conjugation. We found that they do not have plasmid-curing effects. Could further optimisation of metal complexes offer compounds with promising sources of anti-plasmid activity?

Two academics from our College were part of the 'Women with Impact' group who visited Parliament last week, working with Edgbaston MP @PreetKGillMP - congratulations to @mmcbuckner from @IMIBirmingham and @cdtgillett from @IMSR_UoB.
Last week, some of our academic colleagues were invited to Parliament for a Q&A with @PreetKGillMP The group were part of the Women with Impact cohort – a scheme set up by the University to help support academics and address some of the gender disparity in policy engagement.
