As an antiviral defense strategy, transmembrane pore Csx28 helps to slow cellular metabolism in CRISPR-Cas13b–sensed viral infection.
1/8: Super excited to share our latest pre-print from the lab, where in close collaboration with @kellogg_liz lab we show that through some pore behavior, the CRISPR-Cas13-activated membrane protein CRISPR-Csx28 pulls the plug on bacteriophage infection.
