One of the wildest things is the Yankees traded away Caleb Durbin who has been crazy good in Milwaukee only for Devin Williams. Then they had to trade assets for McMahon. What a wildly different year had they never traded Durbin away.

Every exec is scared to look like they lost a trade or didn't get excess value in every move. It's built fear of not being up on the latest tech or perceived advantage even if it means experimenting with player health and pushing the bounds of the rules. It's a huge problem.
