Today, on his birthday, we remember our late patron, Rob Burrow CBE. We'll never forget the difference Rob made to awareness of motor neurone disease, the MND Association and the MND community. He's influenced thousands and we will not stop until we see a 🌍 free from #MND.

Something so satisfying about this man’s refusal to take the bait with the usual leading questions on migration. Just calmly & stubbornly fair-minded, straightforward, no nonsense answers in a perfect Wexford accent right in the middle of the town. 10/10

New research from the Creative Industries Policy and Evidence Centre exposed an overwhelming lack of diversity. In film, TV and radio, just over 8% of creatives are from working class backgrounds - the lowest in a decade - while over 60% are middle or upper class.

Been told by industry pros “but you don’t look working class” “you don’t LOOK like you’re from <insert town name here>.” What is working class supposed to look like? From my experience, we are WONDERFULLY… like what any human looks like. Guys who go to Eton on the other hand…

Couldn’t be any less surprised by this. There is such a huge class divide at every level. It’s no surprise that working class people are NOT given the same opportunities as those who come from privilege. It feels like, if we use our voice, we’re shut down and more walls go up

so they could ‘escape’ and decompress without adding an hour onto their working day. Actors always appreciate audience support and sometimes the smallest interactions can mean the world but wish people would remember buying a ticket does not entitle them to meet an actor IRL.

Stage Door etiquette shouldn’t be problematic. If an actor as headphones on, that is a clear sign to please, not engage. Usually more than happy to stop and say hi but sometimes we just want to get home. I remember an instance years ago where I would sign a cast member out, 1/2

You'll call 999, explain your emergency, Then you'll be given a ridiculous Waiting time, followed by a "But for ÂŁ99, we can get an ambulance to you right away". & that's the way it'll be from now on.. Well, for about 8 months, when it goes up to ÂŁ120... then ÂŁ165.. Goodbye NHS.
