After 10+ years of campaigning, the NHS cervical screening guide in England has been updated to state that cervical screening does not detect ovarian cancer. We’ve been pushing for this since 2012, alongside our brilliant campaigners. Find out more 👉

2/3. and reduce pressure on GPs and A&E. With just 21 per cent of women able to recognise bloating as a symptom of ovarian cancer, spotting the signs earlier is key if we want to see more women diagnosed at an early stage.

1/3.Last week we welcomed the publication of the Government's 10 Year Health Plan. In particular, the focus placed on improving the quality of services and encouraging local areas to trial innovative schemes like community outreach door-to-door to detect early signs of illness.

It’s #CervicalScreeningAwarenessWeek 💜. Smear tests are very vital, but they DO NOT detect ovarian cancer. Know the symptoms of ovarian cancer - persistent bloating, feeling full very quickly, needing to wee often, abdominal pain. Early diagnosis saves lives 💜
