Delighted the Deputy First Minister @little_pengelly was able to join us for our Ovar-Dressed event at Stormont. It was great to have the opportunity to speak with the Minister about the importance of working together to raise awareness.

Stephen McCormick @SJA_McC lost his wife, Julie to ovarian cancer after her symptoms were repeatedly missed. Now, he’s turning his grief into a powerful call for change and raising awareness so that other women are diagnosed earlier, and lives can be saved.
A County Down widower, whose wife died a year ago from ovarian cancer, has said the ongoing lack of awareness about symptoms among health professionals meant his wife received a late and terminal diagnosis.

It’s #CervicalScreeningAwarenessWeek 💜. Smear tests are very vital, but they DO NOT detect ovarian cancer. Know the symptoms of ovarian cancer - persistent bloating, feeling full very quickly, needing to wee often, abdominal pain. Early diagnosis saves lives 💜
