SUMMARY: .- France had a clear game plan to limit passes centrally from the Croatian midfield. - Croatia combatted this by adapting and creating chances in the wide areas. - When Croatia did manage to play through, it often came after a turnover in possession.

Lastly, the same breakdown for Rakitic was created. We can see from this that another trend was beginning to emerge with 3 of the 'round' passes played into Peresic.

Following on from the previous slides, we can see the same breakdown for Modric. Despite Modric having significantly less passes than Brozovic, it's evident he was a clear threat when playing 'onto' as well as 'through' (with one of these passes resulting in a goal).
