Ofsted inspections using the new toolkit begin this week. No more subject deep dives โ just a broader, โshallow paddleโ across the school. Hereโs what leaders need to know, and how to prepare: ๐ https://t.co/bEhDtjeesj

Inclusion is everyoneโs responsibility. The EEFโs โ5-a-dayโ principles for supporting students with SEND arenโt just good for some โ theyโre good for all students.

With so little review space for kidsโ books (grrrr), itโs always an honour to get one - my enormous thanks to Imogen at The Guardian for this gorgeous write-up for The Last Bard. I love this book - I hope you will too xxx

Welcome to #TraitorsGreekMyth Part 1! Alan Carr: Odysseus. He could betray his closest friend without hesitation. Heโs clever, plausible, entertaining and ruthless. His greatest liability? Running his mouth off and getting himself into trouble...

The graphic novel adaptation of WHEN THE SKY FALLS is out today, brought to life by the genius of Mr Fred Fordham. 11 and 50 year old me is turning cartwheels. Am feeling very lucky.

This was a really interesting, engaging and nuanced examination of Shakespeare's tragic heroes. It's certainly given me a lot to think about with Macbeth, and Othello, that I'm excited to be teaching again this year.

I loved this. Very atmospheric, YA dystopian fantasy world, with echoes of The Handmaid's Tale. I cannot wait to read the next one.

I feel a bit broken after reading this one. A story of teenage pregnancy and loneliness, told through a dual narrative - one verse, one prose. Absolutely beautiful.

A very moving and sweet YA read above love. The portrayal of sex and relationships was really healthy and felt very real. Gorgeous characters, and a particularly warm portrayal of young masculinity.

Schools move forward with urgency and every adult has a choice: get on board or get out of the way. The same is true of consistency. If even one adult steps out of line, the whole ship judders. https://t.co/MG4aQSEYH8

In too many schools, "support" has become a quiet permission to step away from learning. Side rooms. Exit cards. Safe spaces. Extra adults. Somewhere along the way, we stopped asking the obvious question: why are we removing children from the very place where theyโre meant to
