When will the British ‘common’ people wake up to the fact that the rich are no better than any of us but they reap an undeserved cosy rich lifestyle off the the rest of society? This single attitude is tying this country to the past not the future. Time to change. For the BETTER

My book (about how politicians are destroying the NHS, and what we can do about it), is coming out in paperback in a weeks’ time. Someone has taken the time to go onto Amazon and declare that it’s ‘the worst book ever published’. 🤣🤣🤣 Well, it’s certainly ruffling feathers!

@mrjamesob The lessons of the referendum… No need for costed, researched, responsible manifestos, you can win if you cheat, misinform, play on people’s fears and prejudices, lie and spend a fortune on dodgy social media posts. The death of democracy… and any hope of decent government.

@SelaineSaxby @Conservatives What a load of rubbish! The biggest threat to education in North Devon would be re-electing the CONservatives to North Devon. Because all we get is a mouthpiece from party HQ, propaganda and spin!

As the issue of compensation for miscarriages of justice is rightly in the news, it’s timely to note that in 2014, the government changed the law to make it all but impossible for people wrongly convicted and imprisoned to claim compensation.

I have been here for over a decade and used it well. I used to tell HCPs to come here for peer support and MedEd. Now I struggle to do so. Campaigning is important and this is a good place for it. But we risk losing positive aspects of #medtwitter if it gets too aggressive.
Yesterday an @GeriSoc member was subjected to a pile on about the job title on their office door. I’ve checked, they’re okay. The point, about transparent job titles was well made. The nature of how it was made and subsequent mobbing was very sad.

As a long serving Labour member, I have my doubts about Starmer. There is, however, one key fact that we ignore at our peril - he is THE only alternative to 5 more years of Tory mis-rule. He'll have my full support on that basis alone & hopefully yours too?

Why is Keir Starmer grilled over & over again, about every detail of policy Labour would introduce, when Sunak, not elected as PM, is NEVER subjected to this level of scrutany, ever.

You really ought not to assume that over 65s are all part of the “I’m Alright Jack” brigade. I’m 66 and a life long Socialist. I suspect I am very far from alone.
Note to over 65's - for Gods sake wake up - you might be comfortable but think about everyone else Tories only winning among certain age group, polls show #ToriesOut547 #SunakOut437 #GeneralElectionNow #Sunackered #UnitedAgainstTheTories

@drdavidbull Your hyperbole doesn’t help you improve your credibility, David, which is already at rock bottom as a Reform UK politician

Reading the headlines this morning, you would honestly think that junior doctors had created the longest NHS waiting lists in history. They haven’t. The Conservative government has decimated our public healthcare system since 2010. UK media is a disgrace 🚨🚨🚨

Anyone else think @Feargal_Sharkey should be awarded a knighthood for his relentless campaigning to expose the water pollution scandal? Like & share if you agree (A sainthood may be more appropriate… you need the patience of one to put up with this 💩) https://t.co/Qlj8Z8qAdE

The party's deputy leader Daisy Cooper has penned a letter to Rishi Sunak recommending they award Undertones star Feargal Sharkey for a knighthood instead of water firm executives.

It doesn't take genius guess the Tory plan. Starve our NHS of money for 13 years until there are SEVEN MILLION people on waiting lists, then say "Hey, look, the NHS is failing. We need to privatise it." Our NHS is not failing. It is BEING FAILED by the Conservatives.

As a NHS doctor who trained as a GP at the same time as you, but spent the 30 years since in general practice not politics, it makes me sad and angry to see the unethical and unforgivable damage your party has done to the NHS over the last 13 years
As a former NHS doctor, it makes me sad and angry to see doctors involved in action which I believe to be unethical and unforgivable, given the harm being done to patients and the NHS itself
