As the issue of compensation for miscarriages of justice is rightly in the news, it’s timely to note that in 2014, the government changed the law to make it all but impossible for people wrongly convicted and imprisoned to claim compensation.

I have been here for over a decade and used it well. I used to tell HCPs to come here for peer support and MedEd. Now I struggle to do so. Campaigning is important and this is a good place for it. But we risk losing positive aspects of #medtwitter if it gets too aggressive.

It doesn't take genius guess the Tory plan. Starve our NHS of money for 13 years until there are SEVEN MILLION people on waiting lists, then say "Hey, look, the NHS is failing. We need to privatise it." Our NHS is not failing. It is BEING FAILED by the Conservatives.

As a NHS doctor who trained as a GP at the same time as you, but spent the 30 years since in general practice not politics, it makes me sad and angry to see the unethical and unforgivable damage your party has done to the NHS over the last 13 years
