Great opportunity to share the learning today from the latest @mbrrace report at SASH maternity in our showing of the virtual conference. We even had some obstetric and anaesthetic colleagues turn up, as well as our DOM!

Pregnant women are offered a vaccine to prevent against this disease but uptake has fallen and whooping cough cases are rising. Please speak to your midwife and make an informed choice. 💪🏻.
Confirmed #WhoopingCough cases in April to June were very high, exceeding those in any quarter of the last major 2012 outbreak year. Read the full story here:

This is Refugee Week. At SASH me and MNVP celebrated by gifting local asylum seeking women with goody bags to show they are welcome, thanking midwives with cupcakes and visiting our VCSE partners.

I often support women who have been forced to sell sex. Yesterday we met @beyondstreet, heard about their work reaching out to similar women, whilst also hearing the stories of Whitechapel Women, killed by the murderer known as Jack the Ripper. 🧵

Thank you! Extremely proud of what we have achieved and feeling privileged to be supporting families seeking sanctuary. Looking forward to carrying on the work and further improvements.
We are so proud of @sashnhs! . The first NHS department in the country to receive accreditation as a Maternity Service of Sanctuary. Huge well done to everyone there doing such important work for women in the community 👏.
