Keep your eye on the donut and not on the hole. In memory of David Lynch, we will continue to explore the otherworldly and the unknown. We will focus not on the loss, but on what we gained from the years we shared this planet with you. We will see you in our dreams.

Thought of the Day: We are like the spider. We weave our life & move along it. We are like the dreamer who dreams & then lives in the dream.

no matter what happens, may this election be the death nail in the self-congratulatory “gen z will change the world” shit. gen z white men vote like every other generation of white men, and in some cases are further to the right

Deaf education and early intervention are the only fields of science that still view signed languages as “controversial” for healthy human development. Linguistics, brain imaging, psychology, and more eagerly research it to expand our understanding of what it means to be human.

Language deprivation is still not accepted by many/most practitioners in deaf education and teacher education. It was a key point of contention for the expert witness for the school district in the Carter Churchill case.

Language scientists/linguists, please stop talking about 'language deprivation' as if it were vanishingly rare in human history. https://t.co/3siIajqbjQ

Another new-ish reporter is Kayla Canne. She covers public safety and really puts an interesting twist on what public safety is….as in more than crime She is from Henrietta and one fact you didn’t know about her is she’s fluent in ASL

A friend was being grumpy about karaoke and another friend said he was being Hamlet and it brought me no pleasure at all to say, “Actually, Hamlet would absolutely LOVE karaoke. He was a theater kid.” Now you all must be subjected to my truth as well.

Today marks the 25th anniversary of October 6th, 1998, when Matthew Shepard was beaten & tortured near Laramie, Wyoming. Tied to a fence post & left for dead. The only part of his face not covered in blood, was where the tears had run down his cheeks. He died 6 days later.
