I wonder how many language scientists assume that signed languages are conlangs? I don't think this is what is happening here, but I am not sure.

Still thinking about @DrSamiSchalk 's point that sensory disabilities are over represented in dis studies. I have always felt maybe over represented in theory but marginalized in community. Thinking especially about pushback against accomodations ive experienced.
