A lot of my job is noting when things fail and go wrong. But on a bad day, good people had my back and took great care of my family — such good care that we are now actually able to resume the planned vacation, with some modifications. Many, many thanks to those heroes.

My holiday was supposed to start last week. Alas, with impeccable timing, we had something of a medical emergency hours before our flight. Everyone's okay now. All is well. But huge shoutout to Toronto Fire and EMS and Sunnybrook hospital. The best people you could ask for.
