Independent human rights expert @FranceskAlbs presents her latest findings. "My report finds that there are reasonable grounds to believe that the threshold indicating that #Israel is commiting the crime of genocide against Palestinians as a group in #Gaza has been met."

Thank you @susannareid100 for asking how it feels. It's a battle with the way Black women are abused and disregarded. Whether it's Meghan Markle or politicians, it's time this stops. The racism from Frank Hester is frightening and the silence from @RishiSunak is deafening.

No no no. The question is not whether Frank Hester's statements were racist - that is obvious. The question is: should his house be raided? Phone seized, his body searched, detained in a cell, charged and prosecuted? This is exactly what happened to successive Black people

"Mr Hester was correct to apologise unreservedly for that to Diane, for using that type of language." @JamesDalyMP says major donor Frank Hester was right to apologise but refuses to say his comments were racist, speaking to @JPonPolitics on #TimesRadio.

Hi All I'll be closing this Twitter account soon and moving over to @Marciathewriter It used to be my political blog but I don't have time to maintain two accounts, and as most of my followers are there, makes sense to keep that one.

Fellow reporter, Sherin Abu Aqla (age 51), the voice of Palestine, executed by the state of Israel while she was doing her job, wearing a Press vest. We condemn this and other aspects of Israeli apartheid.

Sadly this isn't a nail in the coffin of Fascism. The French far right increased their share of the vote and will continue to do so as long as the 'right' pander, eg Hijab Ban. LePen is playing the long game.

Very glad to hear of another nail in the coffin of fascism. And a vote for hope, a better future. We can - and must - escape the darkness and divisiveness of the past.

As a Bulb costumer who is being constantly hounded to set up a direct debit (to a bankrupt company) I can't agree more. #nationaliseenergy

The two founders of Bulb extracted more than £8ml from the sale of shares in 2018. The bailout of Bulb is expected to cost the taxpayer £2.2bl in exchange for absolutely nothing. Nationalise energy.

Last year Macron’s Interior Minister accused Le Pen of being “soft… not tough enough” on Islam. By trying to outdo the far-right, ‘moderates’ legitimise and mainstream them. That’s the context for Le Pen gaining 8% from 2017. We need progressive anti-systemic alternatives.

@JJyabbas Indeed. The British government were happy to pay out compensation to the descendants of SLAVE OWNERS up until 2015. They were never told to "get over it and move on".

Theresa May was the architect of the hostile environment, sent "go home" vans into inner city areas, and presided over the Windrush scandal. I'm glad that even she thinks Priti Patel has gone too far, but her actions as Home Sec and PM laid the groundwork for this Rwanda policy.

Sending refugees seeking asylum in the UK to Rwanda is, of course, outrageous and disgusting. But that's the whole point of it. It's classic dead cat strategy, whose purpose is to channel our disgust away from partygate.
