The moral of the story: . 1. The far-right are normalizing conspiracy theories. 2. Don't believe every random video on social media. 3. Conspiracy theorists walk amongst us, like zombies. 4. If you see injustice, always intervene. 👊.

The supervisor phoned the boy's mother, who decided that so long as her boy was safe, she didn't want to call police or escalate it further. We gave the carer our phone numbers, and offered our support if this incident would be brought up in the future.

We went to offer our support to the carer, who was deeply shaken by this. He explained that he was a refugee. He came over to England with his wife and two children after fleeing a war-torn country. We discussed options, and advised it was best for him to phone his supervisor.

They started swearing, shouting and filming me. I explained that for the Karens, this might be a clip they'd post on Facebook. But it could literally ruin this man's life. At this stage, one of their children took out a knife and an axe. OK, just kidding about this bit. 😅.

"In any case, you're just a man - you don't understand it! Only mothers understand it!". So my husband directed the Karens to me. 😬. "Excuse me, I'm a mother. I have three daughters here - and this is no way to behave in a playground.". Karens: 🤬🤬.

Out of the blue, another Karen appeared. "You're just a pill-pusher, all you do is prescribe medicines. you're a big pharma shill!". At this point, I have to remind you: this was a real interaction with actual humans, in an actual playground. 🤯.

At this point, I looked to my husband. He gave me the look of a defeated man. We both sighed deeply. We've both been trying to fight against vaccine conspiracy theorists for the last few years, and so we knew that you simply DO NOT ARGUE WITH A VACCINE KAREN.

Then, with the strength of a thousand Karens, she started shouting: . "Why are you getting involved? You people are all just the same. ". My husband explained that he was a doctor, looking out for this poor boy and his carer. "Ah, so you're a vaccine-pusher!". 🫠.

My husband, also a doctor, asked if The Concerned Mother had indeed been filming this boy. She confessed, quite proudly. My husband explained that far from being a heroic act, filming random children kids at the playground is a police offence. Her face went ashen. 😵‍💫.

The carer had been treating this boy with dignity, love and respect. They were both smiling and laughing throughout. Unfortunately, the boy had soiled himself and needed all of his clothes changing. The Concerned Mother thought the boy was being kidnapped. 🤯.

The man explained that he was the boy's carer. The boy was severely disabled. None of this had needed explaining, as it had been patently obvious from the way that the carer had been supervising this boy for the previous 45 minutes.

A mother at the playground had started to secretly film the man and teenager. "DELETE THAT VIDEO!", said the man. "No, I'm concerned about what you're doing," replied the mother. The few families in the playground froze. The boy was agitated. My husband stepped in. 🫣.

My three girls were enjoying themselves; finding bugs and dirt and passing helicopters to become enthralled with. Until we heard a loud voice: "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" 😲. A black man was with a white teenage boy, holding his arm.

I was visiting family in London a few weeks ago. We were in the playground, having a wonderful time. It was peak summer, but there were only a few kids scattered around.
