Delighted to see our paper "Lines in the Landscape" published. Thanks to @MikePeacock86 for organising a great workshop for ditch "experts" a few years ago in Liverpool. They discussions there led to this publication. It highlights the importance of ditches in our landscapes.
I'm thrilled to see this paper out, which I co-led with @DitchOntologist, and featuring input from loads of excellent co-authors. It's our interdisciplinary perspective on ditches; what they do, why they matter, and how we should look after them. https://t.co/eKzTKzUwT6

Delighted to have been involved in this research project. The team included the DCU Insight Centre, Botanical Environmental Consultants and https://t.co/YYOElrW82E. The ML method produces highly accurate habitat maps on grassland, peatlands, saltmarsh and dune systems.

We are pioneering digital imagery for more predictable and accurate decision making in Agriculture, Nature and Industry.
New research led by John Connolly at @tcddublin is now available. The iHabiMap report produced habitat maps with over 90% accuracy, demonstrating the potential of UAV and AI technology in habitat monitoring. đ https://t.co/FufYpODkQb

Planting trees on peatlands leads to more GHG emissions then those trees sequester. 30cm of peat stores up to 327 tonnes of carbon per ha. Forestry = 145 T Ca per Ha. It does not make sense to plant trees on peatland as a climate change solution. @MHealyRae @agriculture_ie
