TV license inspectors out around North Kerry today I’ve been informed. Given what is going on at present to have these people calling to peoples doors is scandalous. People don’t have confidence in RTÉ and won’t pay their license fee in light of the misuse of public funds !!.

We are importing Peat from Latvia, Briquettes from Germany and Wood Chip from Brazil, that’s what Green Party policy has led to in Ireland. Because they close production here. There ultimate aim, reduce our own herd and import beef from Brazil and make big farmers out of them.

Just cast my vote here in Kilgarvan on today’s referendums, I voted No No to both. Whatever way you’re voting, go and cast your vote, it’s so so important to use your voice by voting at the ballot box. Polls are open until 10pm so there is plenty of time.

So it’s official, the Healy-Raes have more political representation/seats in the Dáil than the Green Party !!. On a personal level there is good and nice people in the Green Party and I wish them every good luck and health in the future. We just don’t agree on policy.

Today we remember my late father Jackie on his 10th anniversary. I know he would be very proud to have seen the result of last weekend. We remember him fondly and miss him dearly. He’s gone but certainly never forgotten.

Following a phone conversation on Tuesday we met with Fianna Fáil leader and Tainiste Micheal Martin on Wednesday to discuss the possibility of supporting an incoming Government. The meeting lasted an hour, it was productive and positive.

Kerry Airport flights are at risk due to Eamon Ryan’s inaction. The 32M passenger cap at Dublin Airport could reduce Kerry-Dublin flights, hurting our economy and tourism. I’m calling on the Government to act now and scrap this cap before we become a laughing stock across Europe.

This is the hypocrisy of green policy !! The same is happening with peat being imported from Latvia !!. They want us to reduce the national herd while the Brazilians cut down rainforests to make room for the doubling of their herd so they can eventually import their beef to us.

I’m calling for Garda Commissioner Drew Harris to resign now, rather than waiting for his contract to end. His leadership has faltered, the membership doesn’t want him and the current policies are failing. Waiting until April 25 will only make things worse. Time for a change.

Delighted to see Kerry securing €33.36M for non-national roads in 2025, an increase of €1.56M from last year. This is a clear sign of intent by Government and that’s why we want to work from within it. The people want tar, and that’s what we’ll give them.

The people of North Kerry have been left high and dry and energy security has been left high and dry. In 2016 I ensured this project was a priority for the Government, but, since the Green Party came to power they have ensured that both FG and FF bowed down to them on this.

Thinking of my late mother Julie today on her 8th Anniversary, it’s hard to believe it’s 8 years already since we lost her. We are reminded of her everyday, as her faithful and trusty dog Becky is still with us 😊. She’s very much still missed greatly here at home.
