A number of months ago I was invited onto Síle Seoige’s podcast which she released yesterday.
Listening back to our conversation, I think there is a little something in it which maybe we can all relate to espeically in the times we are in with
#Covid19
I come to Dublin to represent the good people of this country. Nothing will ever deter me from doing my job.
I’ve no issue with protesting, never have,never will but you can see the videos circulating and judge for yourselves if that behaviour and use of language is acceptable.
TV license inspectors out around North Kerry today I’ve been informed. Given what is going on at present to have these people calling to peoples doors is scandalous.
People don’t have confidence in RTÉ and won’t pay their license fee in light of the misuse of public funds !!
We are importing Peat from Latvia, Briquettes from Germany and Wood Chip from Brazil, that’s what Green Party policy has led to in Ireland. Because they close production here.
There ultimate aim, reduce our own herd and import beef from Brazil and make big farmers out of them.
Eamon Ryan believes the Greens could win seats in every county and city council in June, which would be a first.
“The Healy-Raes, I’ve shocking news for them: the Kingdom is going Green.
Citing 1700% increase in bus services in Dingle: “I bet you we’ll win.”
@VirginMediaNews
Just cast my vote here in Kilgarvan on today’s referendums, I voted No No to both.
Whatever way you’re voting, go and cast your vote, it’s so so important to use your voice by voting at the ballot box.
Polls are open until 10pm so there is plenty of time.
Tonight I voted no confidence in the Minister for Housing, but, I have to admit, if we were relying on the people who brought the motion before the house tonight in the first place, we’d be in a far worse off position !!
Came across this recently, one of my late fathers last Dáil contributions, addressing his colleague John O’Donoghue who have been elected Ceann Comhairle.
This was my father, full of humour and wit. Dearly missed.
Eamon Ryan and the Green Party are responsible for more private turf being cut over the last 2 years than was cut in the 10 years before it.
The amount of turf I’ve seen in trailers over the last few weeks is phenomenal.
I raised the anger of publicans across Kerry and Rural Ireland today at the fact they cannot open, simply because they do not serve Ham and Cheese Sandwiches.
Have a look at my interaction with the Tainiste at Leaders Questions todays.
My colleagues in the Rural Independent Group and I have written to the Taoiseach Micheal Martin seeking an urgent meeting with himself, the Minister for Health and the NPHET to discuss to continued delay.
A pub in rural Ireland is much more than a counter with a few seats.
Up until I was 12 years old, I suffered from profound dyslexia, in fact, I could not read or write. It was the intervention of a lovely Killarney nun that put me on the right path.
It’s now hard to believe that I’m standing here signing copies of my own book.
#TimeToTalk
This is the hypocrisy of green policy !! The same is happening with peat being imported from Latvia !!
They want us to reduce the national herd while the Brazilians cut down rainforests to make room for the doubling of their herd so they can eventually import their beef to us.
Paul Murphy would love for people to just stay at home, do nothing and barely exist if he had his way.
Next they’ll want to ban food advertisements for fear people will eat 🙄
“𝐀 𝐜𝐨𝐰 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐠𝐞𝐭 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐚 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐲”
I spoke last week in the Dáil in relation to our healthcare service which I believe is now beyond broken.
It’s looking like a No/No return here at the count centre in Kerry.
The Government and opposition parties such as Sinn Fein, Labour and so on have been rejected by the people of Kerry and Ireland.
They are out of touch.
Does the Taoiseach really expect us to take him seriously. He wants to protect lower income families from the ever increasing cost of energy and at same time he closed down 2 power stations?!
Strength, bravery and character. My thoughts and prayers with the Clifford family today.
Paudie and David doing their mother proud out on that field today.

Have a listen as to why I will be voting no confidence in the Government this week in the Dáil.
6 years to the day I lost my father Jackie. I’m reminded every day of the foundations he laid not just for me, but for all the Healy-Rae’s in politics today it all started with him. His work is still visible to this day around Co.Kerry along with the thousands of people he helped
The people of North Kerry have been left high and dry and energy security has been left high and dry.
In 2016 I ensured this project was a priority for the Government, but, since the Green Party came to power they have ensured that both FG and FF bowed down to them on this.
Thinking of my late mother Julie today on her 8th Anniversary, it’s hard to believe it’s 8 years already since we lost her.
We are reminded of her everyday, as her faithful and trusty dog Becky is still with us 😊
She’s very much still missed greatly here at home.
Yet Pa and all his colleagues voted in favour of this legislation.
These people are literally putting their finger to the wind to see what way it’s blowing when it suits them.
I support
#ThePlan
.
I think it’s only right and fair that the hospitality sector is treated with an even playing field and I will be calling on the Government to do that.
Thank you
@PaulTreyvaud
and
@bottykillarney
for tonight’s video.
If I was the referee, I wouldn’t care if we had to stay there all day, Kerry would be coming down the road home with Sam, a big bonfire at the Red Cow and the mother of all homecomings in Killarney & Tralee 😂💚💛
@offtheball
@Mike_Quirke
🏐 "We could have Michael Healy-Rae as the referee, with his brother Danny as hawk-eye and we'd still lose this game by 10 points..." 😂
Mike Quirke and Pat McEnaney have opposing views on the David Gough debate and delivered their arguments 👇

One week on, another grandchild, you might say there is a bit of a Baby Boom going on in the Healy-Rae household.
My new grandson Brodie.
Congratulations to my daughter Rosie and her husband Micheál on the birth of their first child 😁
Brendan Grace gave us memories that we will never forget, he will always have a very fond place in our hearts.
It was a pleasure to have known him through the years and he always brought a smile to everyone’s face.
May he rest in peace.
Thinking of my late father Jackie on the 9th anniversary of his passing.
Here he is in 1997 after being elected to Dáil Éireann against all the odds when many laughed and said it could not be done.
He proved them all very wrong !!
I can confirm at the request of
@MichealMartinTD
, both my brother Danny and I, along with the Rural Independent Group will meet with the Fianna Fáil leader tomorrow evening in the Dáil.
Another early start this morning in Castleisland with another bus full of patients on route to Belfast for Catracts, consultations for tonsil removal and orthopaedic surgeries.
It’s a shame that this is what we have to resort to this action in order to get people health care.
Another bus back from Belfast with Kerry patients after having their cataract removed.
I’m glad to be able to help these people access much needed healthcare that will prevent them going blind. €23 Billion of a health budget and yet people have to travel to Belfast for this.
In light of the tragic murder of Aisling Murphy and the ever-increasing assaults of women in Irish society,I am calling on the Government to open a real debate in legalising the use of Mace so women in particular would be able to defend themselves against unprovoked assaults.
My 3rd Grandchild, Ríona, born the same day Kerry captured Sam. A great good luck charm😁
Congratulations to my daughter Juliette and Patrick on their new arrival.
“They all abandoned you like rats jumping off a ship”
The Rural Independent group tonight brought a motion before the Dáil in relation to the newChildren’s Hospital.
ONE member of the Government showed up, just one,
@SimonHarrisTD
didn’t even want to acknowledge our motion.
An extremely proud and humbling weekend for the Healy-Rae’s. I’m sure my father Jackie is filled with pride looking down on his 3 grandchildren getting elected to Kerry County Council
#3For3
I’ll never understand TD’s and politicians that in the midst of a housing crisis can object to social and affordable houses being built in their constituencies !!
Proud to stand alongside Kerry publicans who travelled to Dublin today.
They shouldn’t have to do this, but, the Government seem hell bent in keeping their doors closed.
Enough is enough, they need
#SupportNotSympathy
It’s fascinating to see the parties doing everything they can to U-Turn now and distance themselves from their stance.
They are all to blame, they all backed and approved the referendum and its wording.
They got a walloping at the ballot boxes and they are running for cover !!
Another successful run to Belfast.
I was glad to welcome back Kerry people today who I organised to travel to Belfast to have their cataracts done under the Cross Border Directive.
If anyone requires this procedure or wants more information contact my office.
I really believe that the exact device that is used by the Gardaí should be made widely available to everyone in order to make themselves aware of their blood alcohol, especially the next morning.
My thoughts and prayers with
@CMOIreland
Tony Holohan, his wife Eimear and his children.
I can’t imagine how tough a time it must be for all of them.
I hope they will be afforded the time and privacy required during this difficult period. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
As the curtain closes on 2018, I’d like to take this opportunity, to wish all my family, friends, supporters and also my many many critics here on Twitter, a very Happy New Year and every good luck, health and happiness in 2019.
#HappyNewYear
🎉
Pity you got stuck in Dublin for the lockdown Matt. If it wasn’t for the travel restrictions you would be most welcome in the beautiful county of Kerry ☀️☀️😄

What a day for Kerry sports.
@LiosAPhuca
and
@KilcumminGAA
winning their All-Ireland club titles in unbelievable fashion.
Then
@Kerry_Official
making it 3 from 3 in the league against Dublin.
Great day 💚💛 ❤️💚 💙💛
The last bus of 2021 returned home late last night from Belfast. Delighted these people will have relief and better sight in time for Christmas.
Glad to be able to continue this service into 2022.

Varadkar rejects reports he is ‘losing his grip’ on Fine Gael.
A bit of a change of pace today 😂
My lifelong friend Tommy Randles finally convinced me to join him today, an experience to say the least. Have a watch of this clip from the in car camera.
Todays Greenmount Motorsport Bonanza was in aid of the Motorsport Benevolent Fund.

@TripAdvisor
Top 10 today. Despite what
@IvanYatesNT
will say, it cements Kerry’s position as not just the tourism capital of Ireland or Europe, but the World. So stop cribbing Ivan, you’ll just have to spend more time in the Kingdom.

Just shows what Government back bench TDs think of our farming sector.
We in the Rural Independent Group brought a motion today in relation to the reduction of our National herd and they were a no show !!
Well done
@KatieGHannon

#Whistleblower
. It really gives the people a real in depth view into what really happened to Maurice McCabe and his family, who have been so brave. And to
@JMcGuinnessTD
for his courage.
