Nice to see our paper out in @SciReports. We used data from two weight loss trials (@ByBandSleeve and the Diabetes Remission Clinical Trial) to explore the effects on circulating proteins. https://t.co/jXGY28K8O9 1/4

Enjoying sunny Edinburgh and the @megukepi conference. Great talk from @EpiHazelwood on weight loss and colorectal cancer risk and @maddy_epi talking later about weight loss and the metabolome!

I'm glad to announce that our polygenic score-metabolite atlas has been published on @eLife 🥳 This atlas contains associations between 125 PGS for complex traits and 249 NMR-derived metabolic traits from up to 83,004 individuals in the UK Biobank.

📣 New paper out now in @JAHA_AHA! 📣 We show that drinking alcohol during pregnancy is associated with a lower risk of hypertensive disorders of pregnancy (HDP) ... and explain why we *don't* think this reflects a true causal effect 🤰🍷 (1/4) https://t.co/A1PixBc4SC

Our results highlight the economic adversity experienced by those with a history of ACEs during the lockdown measures (job loss, furlough etc.) - few interventions currently target this group and lockdown may have exacerbated their needs. 3/3

Really enjoying #MetSoc2022 so far… Great to be abroad for the first time in 3 years and to be discussing all things #Metabolomics! There’s still time to see my poster about the metabolomic effects of bariatric surgery between 5 and 6.30pm today - no.382 in auditorium 3
