Celebrating an amazing year of hard work with @4AMNYC — culminating in a big New Year’s Eve for our DJs. Thanks for the feature @nytimes 🥹🥂 https://t.co/ieuKoVdKf9

For the first time in years, New Year’s Eve parties are back in full swing, despite a possible equipment shortage and a tripledemic.

"when I come across the mayor in my social media feed, it’s like news beamed in from an entirely different universe—more colorful, more energetic, much less intimidated by local sclerosis and far more certain that government can do a lot more, for many more people, than it has."

everyone wants a village, but no one wants to be a villager > drive your friends to the airport > go to their party even when you're tired > stop cancelling last minute > host at your place > support the wins & losses it's worth every ounce of effort
Hate to break it to you guys but sometimes you have to do things you don’t like for the sake of having a community. Avoiding consistency with the people in your life is working against us and the data already shows it. If you think connections can be sustained on absence carry on

New York only shows you what you are capable of seeing. It reflects each persons ability. A limited person will only see limitations an optimist gets the entire world. Choose your own adventure
nyc is not the greatest city in the world. everyone there is using each other for money or validation. the average age someone gets married is 35. everything is so expensive. unmarried 31 year olds are paying 5k for a studio apartment. that sounds like hell

It’s insane this is legal. People around Trump are profiting off war and death. I’m introducing legislation ASAP to ban this.

Yea hey quick thing - this is actually what everyone wants their tax dollars used for. Not funding flights for the head of the FBI to go get sloshed like a frat boy in a foreign country. Hope this helps!!!
Zohran launched $30/hr snow-shoveling jobs with $45/hr overtime, and Republicans mocked him. Not only were sidewalks completely cleared within a day, but he did exactly what taxes are intended to do: take taxpayer money and invest it in people while producing results that

I saw a post that said “the cost of being close to someone is friction and that’s the price you pay for intimate relationships and when you are a person that is averse to conflict, you are also averse to intimacy” and I couldn’t agree more. A lot people give up at the first sight

Many of us live this way in 2026 in New York City 🤗
watching sex and the city for the first time as a 23yr old i have trouble believing in how often people talk to random people in public, let alone randomly asking each other on dates. was this really how it worked in 90s nyc??? that's insane!

Shared suhoor before dawn with @NYCSanitation workers before they headed out to prepare New York City for the blizzard. Up before the sun, doing the work that keeps our city moving. They’re called NY’s Strongest for a reason.

This is fascinating and explains a lot of how social media has changed in the last few years. There are a lot of people who are in a perpetual state of rage even for things like sports and film. It’s wild. All of this makes sense. The pandemic didn’t help either.

Today, I’m releasing the City’s preliminary budget. After years of fiscal mismanagement, we’re staring at a $5.4 billion budget gap — and two paths. One: Albany can raise taxes on the ultra-wealthy and the most profitable corporations and address the fiscal imbalance between
