The most valuable indicator of future potential is not past performance. It's recent progress. The people who exceed expectations tomorrow are the ones who improved the most yesterday. Getting better shows the drive and dexterity to learn. Growth is an accomplishment in itself.

The good news is, there are treatments available. The problem is that we only tell women about these on the back end after they’ve suffered and delayed care: this is damage control mode. Women deserve to GO INTO birth armed with what resources are available to them postpartum.

There’s a 6 month waiting list to see a Urogynecologist/Female Pelvic Floor specialist because in the US we train one Urogynecologist per state per year. But 44 million women will have a pelvic floor disorder (prolapse, incontinence) by 2050. The math is not mathing 🧮

At least 1 in 5 women will have surgery with a Urogynecologist in her lifetime, but I doubt that 1 in 5 women even know we exist. We have to make it easier to know where to get care for vaginal prolapse and incontinence.

This @AJOG_thegray paper authored by @MigsRunner is absolutely infuriating and proves that what female surgeons perceive in their workday is real. You feel in your bones that your room is being turned over slower between cases and turns out it's real. https://t.co/Vvj4yhCHVC

Nearly every day in the ICU we have an OHIP-eligible patient with an expired healthcard. Hospitals forego revenue and MDs work for free. These patients can't go to Staples. If @ongov wants to make HC renewal more convenient, it should also be available in hospitals.

Canadians should be angry. Read this great article on the state of waittimes for pelvic floor surgeries. CSPM will continue to advocate for practitioners so they can help their patients get the help they need -- WHEN they need it. https://t.co/2NxvXl6ncq
