What is the role of GLP1s in the care of bariatric surgery patients? . Enjoyed collaborating with @WiscSurgery resident Dr. Kate Lauer and colleague Dr. Dave Harris @WiscoSurgMetab to discuss new data regarding the rapid rise in GLP1 use in patients undergoing bariatric surgery.
"As the field embraces a more integrated model of obesity care. there is an urgent need for well-designed, prospective RCTs to define the optimal timing, duration, and effectiveness of GLP-1s and behavioral interventions in this context."
