I'm hearing from a few folks that

is now at the point where a dedicated newbie / 101 track would be helpful. Not just k8s but wider cloud native too. Thoughts?
As Kubernetes gains wider adoption, more engineers who aren't familiar with Linux or containers are being told "we're going to adopt K8s now, go set it up and maintain it." These people have a brutal learning curve and don't know where to start. We aren't serving them well.

Such a loss 💔 So many communities will have a Kris-shaped hole in their hearts, she influenced so many of us in many ways. I will miss her
Last Wednesday evening Kris Nova had a climbing accident and died.
All of us that loved her are heart broken and stunned. She was an amazing person that lived out loud and built connection and community wherever she went. She will be horribly missed.

I'm reviewing some CFP submissions. I've not measured this scientifically but there seems a strong correlation between submissions made on behalf of a speaker (e.g. by marketing, or a PR agency) and very buzzwordy, hand-wavy, non-specific descriptions that are a complete turn-off
