@elonmusk @elonmusk can you please fix the YT embeds on Twitter? On mobile, they are quite bad, forcing you to open the tweet then click the url which forces people out of the Twitter app. Ideally, the thumbnail would be visible and the vid could be played without having to open the tweet.

A few more image quality showcases. This isn't obvious in videos, but is very obvious when you play the game. Image quality is really clean now. Makes overall gameplay feel really smooth. This isn't the same as map art, this is purely technical @firefrontgame

Anti aliasing and soft particles are now working quite well on mobile. Also terrain now works properly when it's not tessellated. Overall the image quality has significantly improved with these recent changes. Anti aliasing really feels so smoooooth @firefrontgame

Experimenting with more minimal UI (health bar fades out when at 100, all color is removed from UI, UI is adjusted to be more translucent / glassy). Thoughts? I want the game to take center stage, not have it be crowded out by the UI. @firefrontgame

Showing 2 new effects here for @firefrontgame 1. Lens dirt when looking near the sun, to provide a more "cinematic" look 2. Out of focus effect, which happens when bullets fly near you, to simulate the visual stimulus overload you might feel on a battlefield #screenshotsaturday

Optimizations are looking good. Most people at playable frame rates, even the bottom tier of medium end devices getting to be around 30 fps. Hard work is paying off for @firefrontgame . Going to finish this final graphics optimization and bug fix overhaul in the next few days,

@elonmusk @elonmusk , Polls could really be improved. Rn you have to select an option even if you don't agree / doesn't apply to you. But sometimes I just want to see the results. It'd be nice to click to see the results, and in doing so it would prevent you from voting on that poll after.

Everyone disagrees with me, but trust me, WZM won't look better than CODM. It will always be a bit blurry. It appears they are using TAAU to get a higher quality image than they would otherwise. If they have to do that, it means that their shading is really costly.

WIP map stuff @firefrontgame Main thing that has allowed us to speed up map work is the new photobash design process as well as significant enhancements to building tools. Other things like road tools and terrain tools make a big difference, but those happened a while ago.

@samleakshere A lot of mobile game dev specifically is optimizing for the tens of thousands of mobile device models. It's very easy to put up a screenshot of a nice looking model. It's way harder to make a stable, multiplayer game with lots of players that runs well on many different devices.

Definitely looking forward to R6M mobile. I remember talking to a dev about a "secret mobile game" he was working on at Ubisoft a couple years ago. Was obvious what he meant. Cool to see that they are taking it seriously. Actually looks like a well made mobile game.
