People really underestimate what living with a chronic illness actually demands. This isn’t “feeling off.” It’s a daily battle most people couldn’t even handle for one day.

Mental illnesses are real disabilities. They can be debilitating, life-limiting, deadly. They can severely impact someone’s ability to live independently, work, and function. And no, you can’t always easily tell.

I do think PIP needs reform. I think more people need help. I think assessors need appropriate medical training. I think people that have life long conditions that won't improve shouldn't need to keep going through this.

Fireworks need banned aside from organised and licensed events. Absolutely pointless things that do nothing but terrify animals and leave litter everywhere.

If someone is unable to work… They’re unable to work. No amount of “support” or “punishment” will change that. Taking away or reducing disability benefits won’t change that. All it’ll do is kill them.

I really don’t care how miserable I may come across when talking about my utter disdain for fireworks. There’s just absolutely no need for them.

The cost of chronic illness isn't just physical. It's losing friends and family. Losing time. Losing dreams. Losing pieces of who you used to be. Losing hobbies. Losing jobs. Losing stability. All while being shamed for not "staying positive."

I am not “differently abled” I am not “special ed” I am not “handicapable” I am disabled. It isn’t a bad word. Treating it like it is a bad word is what is actually offensive.

I really, really hate how mental health is seen as this totally different thing to "physical" health. Mental health *is* physical health. And it's so nuanced, so diverse, so varied... We don't yet understand most of it.

The best way they can save money on disability benefits, is to stop denying people after their first assessment when it's obvious they'll have it overturned at appeal... And stop re-assessing those with lifelong conditions. Millions are being wasted on this every year.

Sorry abled folk, despite what you want to believe, not everything can be cured or treated. This is true whether it mental health condition or a physical health condition. Some of us just have to exist as we are.
