Lots of partner organizations still on the ground doing Hurricane Ida recovery work in #NOLA, and in neighboring parishes that were more severely affected. Help them keep it going by donating directly to these groups or volunteering with them: https://t.co/S1IFL9b5BI.

Way to go #NewOrleans! 2/3 of adults now protected against COVID ... the best way to keep Delta & future variants from taking hold in our community, and maintaining our strong recovery. If you haven’t gone #sleevesupnola yet, it’s time! @nolahealthdept @nolaready @CityOfNOLA

Great work from the @cityofnola Hazard Mitigation Office, who continues to secure resources to adapt #NOLA properties threatened by climate change & more frequent flooding.

The @cityofnola was awarded $11.6M from @fema to elevate 49 pre-identified homes that have experienced repeated & severe flooding. They'll join the 200+ structures that've received elevation funding since 2017 in our efforts to reduce the risk of damage from future flood events.

I’m just trying to imagine what it’s like to be @nolaready, where any given day you might be posting about flooding or pieces of a building falling off or a jaguar on the loose or a sinkhole opening up or whale? shark? guts blocking a street.

A behind the scenes look at our volunteer dashboard: tmrw is the only day in Apr that NOLA Ready volunteers are not deployed to support emergency operations in NOLA. We could not be more proud of our volunteers who step up nearly every day to help us respond to this pandemic.

This was such a fun project & it all started when Leila found a photo of a masked cat during the 1918 pandemic. Thanks for covering, @WDSUMorgan!

For several months I've been sending daily texts to the @nolaready COVID text subscribers. It was depressing to look up the # of cases & deaths each day, esp during the winter surge. This week we started including vaccine %s. You can even see the increase from Tue to Thu! #hope

She's being modest. @ShaliniPersaud built an amazing disaster volunteer program for the @CityOfNOLA in a matter of months. We now have 3,000 volunteers registered to help with vaccines, hurricanes, winter storms & whatever else comes our way. 🖐️Join us:
