Middle School ELA! @CatoosaSchools Teachers were in the midst of a dystopian short stories unit 😳 focusing on identifying theme. We chose not to replace original texts w/ abridged versions, but instead offered supportive and scaffolded oral readings of complex texts to tee up

I ❀️ summer PD! W/o the hustle and bustle of the school year, teachers can slow down, reflect and (re)imagine next year's curriculum. A lot of discussion and data diving led to smart, engaging, jointly created writing units to kick off the next school year! @JSerravallo
