Ignore the membership, net migration must come down.
🗳️ Some 53% of Labour members oppose the government’s recent measures aimed at significantly reducing net migration over the next four years, according to polling by @Survation for LabourList. Around 36% back the government, however. More here:.

Higher-rate tax is no longer just for higher earners, it now includes people with high salaries who work in broader roles we have determined to be working class. Okay fellas.
NEW: How higher-rate tax is no longer just for higher earners. Over the next few years, millions of police officers, teachers, nurses and other people in traditional working tax jobs will face a marginal tax rate of at least 42%. We shouldn’t underestimate the impact of this. 1/4

When the radical Green / new left parties really get going we are going to witness geopol takes previously considered impossible.
Listening to the candidates for Green Party leader. Highlight so far is Zack Polanski saying Britain should prepare to leave NATO by “making alliances with the Global South”.

I think the BMA have smelled blood in the water re: Labour and are going for the juiciest slice they can get.
I really dislike @theBMA taking 2008 as their baseline for their wage negotiations. That wasn't a normal year. It was the back end of the unprecedented and unsustainable bubble in state healthcare expenditure under Blair and Brown. 1990 is a better base.

Maybe these guys weren't ideal NEC reps.
If we’re the bridesmaids, you lot (labour) are the wedding planner, booked the venue then handed Reform the mic. You stitched the dresses and stitched up workers, renters, migrants, disabled and those in poverty. You left everyone at the altar so you could shag Blackrock.

Interesting to see "managed decline" rhetoric utilised by a political camp whose primary goal is collapsing a fairly growth-focused Labour Government & who broadly-speaking oppose. 🏗️Private-sector construction.🏘️"Gentrification".⚡Nuclear power.👷♂️UK Defence Industries.
Labour MP's are panicking and rightly so. Starmer will lose his seat to Andrew Feinstein, Streeting to Leane Mohammed while Shabana Mahmood and Jess Phillips will lose too. It's not a protest vote anymore . People are sick of tired of career politicians who manage decline.

Then start campaigning on why it is too expensive and change those numbers.
65% of Britons believe that the triple lock on pensions should be maintained, amid the Office for Budget Responsibility forecasting that the lock will cost three times more than expected by the end of the decade. Should maintain: 65%.Should not maintain: 11%

🤩.
GM is growing fast. We will expand @BeeNetwork over the next decade to meet the needs of our bigger economy. BUT. There’s a limit to what we can do on a congested surface. It’s why I am asking TfGM to start planning for an underground for GM around a remodelled Piccadilly.
