Consequences of a low trust society.
Chicago is asking residents to reduce water use to help prevent flooding & almost everyone in article comments are saying they’re gonna water their lawns/take even longer showers, etc. I don’t know how we combat this “I’d rather ruin everything than consider others” mentality.

Everyone uses these Baofengs illegally anyway nowadays and it doesn’t cause any problems. HF bands are the only frequencies that should require a ham license. Free 2m and 70cm!.

It’s high time we did a little deregulating at the FCC. Regular walkie talkies suck but cheap handheld ham radios work great. There is no reason at all for UHF and VHF bands to require a license.
