Can solicitors fees be justified when all they do is regular stuff. Arguably yes if complex and if they are saving you money. For most of us such rates are astonishing and unaffordable! And that's North England.

In Northern Ireland and Ireland house Leaseholders can "buy out" the groundrent for a multiple of the groundrent subject to some strange exceptions in NI like if you already have a 990 year lease. That converts Leasehold to freehold. Here the nightmare.

Tired of hearing more about Freeholder "compensation" than us, the people who are paying! They won't be paying but receiving whatever the Valuation formulas. The only argument that matters is the Public Interest in getting rid of Leasehold and the commitment to make.
