As we discuss child poverty, the Tory & Reform benches are empty. Tells you everything you need to know about their priorities. This Labour government will lift more children out of poverty than in any Parliament since records began. The Tories & Reformā¦.frankly donāt care
Right now, there are just two Tory MPs (out of 119) and no Reform MPs are in the Chamber on an important debate on child poverty. Is their message to the British public really that they just donāt care about lifting children out of poverty, because thats what this looks likeā¦?

Time to offer young people more hope. They want to work. They want to learn. That's why we are bringing forward our Youth Guarantee offering more training and more jobs, backed by £820m of Government funding.

Under the Tories, the welfare bill went up by £88 billion. They left children too poor to eat. They wrote young people off as too ill to work. That costs the country money and is bad for productivity. And it's a massive waste of potential. This is a moral mission. We need to

It was good to go on @TimesRadio to talk about the massive positive impact this Budget will have on reducing child poverty and on helping families with the cost of living. (2/2)

Was good to knock on doors yesterday to talk to local people about how the Budget will make a difference in their lives. For instance, it will boost the living standards of over 4,000 children here in Hendon and lifting 450,000 out of poverty nationally. Thatās a huge achievement

One pound in every ten. That's how much of your money is going toward servicing national debt. Because the Conservatives crashed our economy and left Labour to clean up the mess. That's exactly what this Budget is doing. Labour will not mortgage our childrens' futures.

My main priority is to tackle the cost of living. Thatās why we are making energy bills cheaper, cutting them by Ā£150 on average from April. Thatās the difference a Labour government makes.

In the days after any budget, we hear lots of hot takes and analysis, some of it illuminating, much of it not. Amidst all the noise, remember: this is the chart that matters. 90% of households will be see a positive overall benefit.
